BYOC lets customers connect their own carrier to Cloud PBX, Microsoft Teams, or UC platforms instead of purchasing voice plans bundled by the platform vendor.

Definition

BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) allows customers to choose the SIP Trunk provider that fits their needs, for example an in-country carrier with PDPA compliance, or a carrier with cheaper international rates.

Usage

Common with Microsoft Teams Direct Routing (BYOC), Zoom Phone Premise Peering, Cisco Webex Calling, Yeastar Cloud PBX, and any Cloud PBX supporting external carriers.
